it is
Check out my poetry... All written by me, KKB!
Like a spider...

Like a spider,
you've spun a web of lies
the narrative you spin
casts a shadow over your eyes

you're safe in the spotlight
but when you go home
it's just yourself at night
only you who sleeps in that bed

that bed you've made,
you've got to lay in it
isn't it easier to be honest?

it's easier for you to tell a lie

but so long as you spin your web of lies,
you'll continue prolonging the inevitable:
a confrontation a conversation
with yourself with the truth

Four-leaf clovers...

four-leaf clovers give me hope
but it's only temporary

a fleeting feeling of wishful thinking
persisting only for a fraction of a second
reminding myself that hope is for the weak

those who are strong
don't play the foolish game of hope

Cure for a broken heart...

The best cure for a broken heart
is not the fiery flame of soul-spoken art
it, rather, is the act of letting go.

And, as they say,
if you let love go
and if your love comes back to you,
then your love is, naturally, true -
forever renewed.

but the greatest lesson learned from these words
is that the loveliest gift you can give
is one where you hear their plea
and understand, then, that
one does not own
another
and thus
freedom
is the most welcomed gift

accompanied
by
silence.
